7. EXECUTIVE COUNCIL SECRETARIAT 

            The Council of  State was created in 1884 and dissolved in 1893 and the Cabinet Council was formed by Nizam the VI Mir Mahboob Ali Khan. On  17th November 1919 the Cabinet Council was abolished  by Mir Osman Ali Khan, Nizam the VII, owing to observing   the democratic tendency in the State and created the Executive Council for the better administration of the State. The first Sadar -i - Azam   or President of the Council was Sir Syed Ali Imam. The main functions of this Council were defining the cases which required the Nizam's orders, and cases which  could be disposed of by the President and  cases which must be referred to the Council as well as the powers of the Council. The records  including farmans of the Executive  Council  (Bab - i- Hukumat) are in Urdu. This department records  were transferred to Archives in 1952.
