6.  EDUCATION SECRETARIAT           

The Education Secretariat was established  in 1859, under the direct control of Salar Jung I,  Prime Minister. Till them, Education was under the Custody of Revenue Department  but the Education Department was bifurcated from Revenue under the charge of the Minister  for the Miscellaneous Department in 1869. Again it was given under the charge of Home Secretariat  in 1892.   A Board of Education established in 1937. A  separate Secretariat for the Education  Department was existed in year 1944. This department records are Persian, Urdu and English. This Secretariat records were transferred  to Archives during the period from 1863-1952.
