1. ARMY SECRETARIAT 

            The  Army Secretariat was established  in 1864 for Regular Troops in connection with the proper conduct of business related  to the Regular Forces of Hyderabad, this office secretary dealt with expenditure  matters of the Regular  Troops, Imperial Services Troops and Golconda Brigade and their enlistment, appointments, transfers, promotions of the military personnel, under the general orders of Prime Minister. The Army Department  reorganized under proper discipline. The disciplined unit   which acquired the name of the “Regular Force”  while undisciplined unit  also continued simultaneously and were  called the “Irregular Force”. In 1875, the Army Secretariat  dealt with various matters relating with the maintenance  of army i.e. custom duties on the army rules and regulations relating to armies and their  promotions, leaves, appointments, dismissals. This  department records are in  Urdu and English, and these records were transferred  to Archives in 1950.
